Ethiopian Takes Delivery of its First Airbus A350
Ethiopian Airlines continues its aviation leadership in taking delivery of its first Airbus A-350 XWB. It is the first Airbus in the Ethiopian fleet and in Africa. The remaining 13 Airbus A350s on order will be added to the fleet over the next months.
The A350 offers Ethiopian passengers more comfort with wider seats in Business and Economy class along with features including mood lighting to reduce fatigue after a long flight. The seats are fitted with the latest high-definition touch screen personal monitors plus in-flight Wi-Fi will be available in the future on the aircraft.
Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam said “We are very pleased that Ethiopian is among the few leading airlines in the world to invest in this latest technology. Operating the youngest fleet in the industry with modern in-cabin features is one of the four pillars of our vision 2025 and the introduction of the A-350 to our fleet is one component of this strategy.”
