It’s that wonderful time of the year again so I thought I’d take a look at some Irish brands on Facebook and see which ones are making the most of the prime real estate a Facebook cover image is.

In no particular order, first up is Centra who’ve gone with a little tongue in cheek Christmas humour that nicely gets the message across about their delivery service.

Second is Irish Independent newspaper who asked readers to send in Christmas photos from around the world.  The one they’re using as their cover image is of the recently re-opened Clerys store in Dublin. Strangely Clerys Facebook cover image isn’t quite so festive looking.

Third is Pennys who have been promoting sales of their cheesy, corny and funky Christmas jumpers, the kind you never want to receive on Christmas morning.  Some festive fun from Pennys.

Fourth is the Fota Island resort who have brought a little bit of Santa magic to their cover image. it’s the perfect time of the year for magic. Believe…

Fifth is Sunway, who have a competition running right now.  They’ve managed to convey it by combining a Christmas image with a targeted message and some cross-marketing of the suppliers funding the voucher prizes.  Sunway's Festive Facebook Cover Image

Sixth on the list, is 3 Ireland who are using a cover image which is a still from a TV ad they’re currently running.   Notice the hashtag?  This is an excellent way of getting people talking.  Hashtags are now becoming commonplace on Facebook just like they are on Twitter. And the last one on the list is Doheny Nesbitts a pub familiar to many Dubliners.  Their cover message has a simple message and while they are not using the cover image to its full potential like the others, it’s still worth sharing.

So that’s my roundup of Irish Facebook brand pages who’ve gone all out to inject some festive spirit into their Facebook pages.  Did I miss any really good ones that you’d like to add to the list? Go ahead and share them below.

And to finish off, I’d like to wish you a very ‘Happy Christmas‘ and let’s touch base again in the new year.

To your online success!
